NAMASTE
A beat-synced animated film, where the music background and the visual obsession finally became one thing. Concept, direction, animation and edit, all mine.
The concept
NAMASTE started as a question: what if a film was composed like a track? Not a video with music laid over it, but visuals built on the beat: cuts landing on drums, motion breathing with the bassline, the whole film mixed like a song.
The blueprint
Before a single frame was animated, the film existed as an 11-page creative blueprint: story, structure, visual language, shot logic, and the exact relationship between sound and image. Animation without a blueprint is decoration; this had a spine before it had skin.
Structure & direction
- Story: a narrative arc told visually, paced like a musical arrangement: intro, build, drop, resolve.
- Visual development: a consistent art direction carried across every shot, so the film feels like one world.
- Animation: motion designed to the rhythm track, not against it.
- Music relationship: the beat isn't background; it's the edit's metronome.
Why it matters
NAMASTE is the clearest proof of the Voxpher idea: a beat-maker's timing applied to film. It's personal work (no client, no brief), which is exactly why it could be uncompromising.
